It is our family tradition to spend the 4th of July with the Hale side of the family. We grew up going to my Great Uncles creek in Tahlequah, he sold that this year so my Aunt and Uncle Mike and Narissa decided to start having the 4th festivities at their lake home. Before we went to the Lake we drove to OKC (7hours) to see my brother and sis in laws new house.. It was so great to get to see them and play with GG and Hamilton. GG LOVED Prairie and was such a big help with her. We also got to see several of my other cousins and their kids. The next morning we left to go to the Lake (3 hours) and got to see Kimmie, My BFF and her gang... We love them so very much and Adalie LOVED Prairie.. She was SUCH a big help. We swam, road the boat, cooked out and got to sleep in Grandpas mobile home. My kids had some of the best sleep of their lives in Grandpas trailer.. Although Waylon got into the spice rack and the matches it was some great sleeping... It was so great to get to see so much of our "Hale" family. The next day we drove to Idabel to see my other grandparents and my BFF Laci and her gang (4 hours)... We had a great time with Granny and Papa, and they both loved on the kids all weekend. We went out to my Aunt and Uncles Farm to ride horses and play but Waylon got a high fever (think it was his teeth) so we had to make it very short... Some cats get get loved on a lot though...
All in all our Tour De' Oklahoma was wonderful. We are so blessed to have SO much wonderful family who we get to spend time with... We are ready to not make a long road trip for a while though... well, at least until Christmas...
