Birthday Happenings

Last week was my 30th birthday!!!! I did not take it as hard as most people say they do, it is just another day and I did not feel any different. I never like to make a big deal of my birthday but I do enjoy taking the day off to just lay on the couch and do nothing, so that is what I did. Nathan did have to go to work but had the house decorated for me with breakfast and flowers when I got up, so romantic.... We met for a quick lunch then back home for me on the couch. He wanted to take me out to a nice dinner but all I wanted was take out enchiladas,,, I guess that is the pregnancy thing....He also brought home a cake and I got to open my gifts which I had been eyeing and shaking all day. He got me a great new coat ( I wont be wearing for another month or so), some great jewelry and a hot pair of Prada Sunglasses,,, I was so impressed he picked them out all by himself... He made me feel so very special on this day and I am so thankful to have him in my life to share these mile stones with....I also received two other sets of flowers and gifts from my BFF Kimmie and mother in law... my house looks and smells so great with all the floral...Thanks Yall!

Nathan also took me to Fredricksburg for my birthday/babymoon this weekend. I always like to get out of town for my b-day so this was a nice trip. We stayed 2 nights at this awesome b&b that was a loft over a old barn, it was so nice.... They had a huge fire place that you could see from the living room and bedroom so we slept with a fire going each night. We ate WONDERFUL food all weekend, shopped around town, and got to hear a great little band to dance to on Sat. night.... IT was an AMAZING weekend a much needed. We called it our "last get a way" before baby Waylon gets here.... I am so thankful to have a husband who loves to do these kinds of things....Nate you are so Great!!!!!

SO now for the big news!!!!

I had my 37 week doc apt on Monday morning, she did a sonogram and the great thing is Waylon's head is down and in the position to come. I am also 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced... WOW!!! This was not expected news for us so we are in panic mode now. I was planning on taking the next 2 weeks off to get all the finishing touches done but now I am trying to get everything done in one day.I got home and tied up some loose ends with work stuff, started cleaning the house, wrapping Christmas presents and making a million list of things to do..Nate got home from soccer practice early to put together the car seat and helped me with other things...The doc said I could stay at 3 cm for 3 more weeks or I could have him today so I am preparing for today...... If we do not have him before Jan 5th we have scheduled a induction them.... I am feeling great even though it was kinda hard to sleep last night just very excited and a million things running through my head about what all needs to be done. I am going Christmas shopping today with my Mom to get all of that finished up. I will make sure to keep you all posted on how things go over the next few days....
