A Beautiful White Christmas in Oklahoma

On Wednesday morning Nathan, Waylon, myself and uncle Matthew made the long drive to Oklahoma. We had a nice dinner with Grandpa Hale, Grandma Billie and Uncle Mike. We had heard that it might snow but just figured it was everyone getting too excited. Andy, Keri and fam were supposed to come Christmas Eve day but they called to say the roads were closed and the snow was getting bad and they would not be able to make it. We missed them so much. We debated weather or not to stay in Tulsa or go to Idabel but decided to stay so we could see Kimmie and all her crew. We ate lunch at Mazzios pizza ( our fav) and by the time we got out the sleet was getting bad. Uncle Mike, Aunt Narrissa, David, Angela, Easton and Cale all came over to Grandpas to have our Christmas party and by the time they left the roads were getting very bad. We went ahead and went over to Mike and Narissas for our annual Hale Christmas Eve party, battling through the ice/snow covered roads. Kimmie and her gang were there so it was nice to be snowed in with them. The party that normally host over 50 was only catered to about 20 of us. It was still so nice to get together and to get to share the first snow with Waylon and everyone... Waylon loved the snow and even stuck his tongue out to catch snow flakes on it... so cute. This is the 2nd time Nathan and I have seen snow since we have been married so it was kinda romantic. We stayed up late talking and watching the kids play. That morning Uncle Mike and Aunt Narissa let us join them in their annual Christmas Day Party, cooking a great breakfast and even giving us sweet gifts...We were so thankful to get to spend Christmas morning with them but left soon after to get on the road to Idabel. The roads were pretty bad for about 2 hours and Nathan did a great job driving our family very safe...
It was wonderful to get to see Kimmie, Adam, Adalie and sweet baby James. Waylon loves his cousins so much. I wish we could have spent even longer with them but we had to make the rounds...
