Mothers Day 2010!

I was so blessed to get to celebrate being a Mom twice this year!
Nathan took the kids and I to the River in Concan this weekend to share some quality time together... We took both of our Mom's last year for Mothers day when we just had Waylon but this year we just decided to go ourselves... We were both not expecting it to be a real relaxing weekend but we knew we would have fun.
I will have to say it was one of the best weekends of my life! We had a wonderful time. Nathan was off Friday so we drove through Uvalde and ate at one of our favorite BBQ restaurants,,, Evetts... We then went to the cabin on the the Frio River, it is River Rim Resort if you are ever in the area.... It was a really nice cabin that set on the river. As soon as we got there we unloaded and got in the water... Prairie took one of those great naps on a lawn chair in the river ( just like Waylon did last year) and Waylon played in the water... Nathan and I took turns playing with him and watching her while also trying to get some sun... We had the river to ourselves most of the day and it was absolutely wonderful! That night we got the kids down and Nathan cooked an amazing dinner and served it over candle light out side under the stars... We listened to some of our favorite music and just talked about how blessed we are... That morning we got up early with the kids and had breakfast and coffee outside, it was such a beautiful morning and we loved being outside listing to nature...I got to take a long nap with Prairie, she is so fun to nap with... then we got up to have lunch outside while waiting for it to warm up so we could get back in the water... It never really got warm enough to get back in the water but we enjoyed a lot of time playing by the river the rest of the day Saturday... Waylon and Prairie both had good naps by the water....
We went to another one of our favorite restaurants, Neils that evening and it was delicious...
Sunday morning Nathan let me sleep in with Prairie and when I woke up I got to open all my sweet gifts and we headed out to Neils again to have breakfast,,, once again delicious...
I was planning on going down to the river and take family photos but it was still a little raining so that got canceled...We then drove to San Antonio to spend some time with Nathans Mom for Mothers day and had some great Mexican food..
I have to say Nathan really out did himself this year... He got me so many thoughtful gifts and took care of me all weekend... I am so very thankful to have such wonderful beautiful kids and get to be their Momma but I could not do any of it with out him...
I could not have had a better weekend and I Praised God all weekend for the amazing gift I have and that is to be a Momma to the most wonderful babies in the world....
