It is that time of year again... The time I always get butterflies in my stomach... Nathan and I met and started dating in the spring.. One of our first "coming out" dates was to the Sports Banquet held at the end of the school year... As a coach you have to attend and give a quick speech about your team and highlight some specific players... Our first time to go to this together was 8 years ago and it has gotten better every year... This year was very different with two kids.. Waylon was running ALL over the place and would not sit still.. Prairies was very good in her car seat the entire time...
I wanted to get a picture of us every year but have not been able to do that... The picture posted was the very first year we went together...
Nathan did a great job speaking in front of hundreds of people about his team and made me feel so special as he thanked me for being a great wife and mother during soccer season... It is not an easy job being a coaches wife... I would not rather have any other job in the world but it is not easy... It is REALLY not easy when I had Waylon at the start of soccer season last year and had Prairie at the end of soccer season this year.. We missed very few games but were only able to watch from the car.. I love being a coaches wife and I love to watch Nathan do such a great job coaching...
I wish I could have gotten up and spoke to the entire crowd of players, coaches and their families about what an amazing coach Nathan is... He would come home from working 12 hour days to take care of his family... He would do everything he could to accommodate us during the games and he would never complain...
I am so thankful to be married to such a wonderful coach and man...
I am more in love with him now than I was on that very first date!!!
