My 3 Month Old!

WOW!

I know I say that every post but I honestly can not believe I have a 3 month old. I feel like we have made it through the crucial part of having a newborn and now we can breath a little easier, if that is ever possible for a Mother. We have been so blessed that Waylon has not been sick or had any major issues for the first 3 months of his life. I will have to say, although some people may think I have been over protective for not getting him out much for the first 3 months it has been why he has avoided getting sick. Yes, Waylon is still the most wonderful perfect baby in the world. He is getting more and more fun every day. He is talking a lot now and Nathan can really get him going. They will sit on the couch looking at each other and cooing back and forth. It is like they have their own language they are speaking. It melts my heart to see how loving they are to each other. He is still smiling a lot and cooing even more. He can really follow Nathan and I around a room. One of us will get up from the couch and he will watch wherever we go. He still loves being held. He will go down for a nap and bed very well but his favorite place to be is in someones arms, and I am okay with that. After a while of holding him I will give him to Nathan or put him down and look at my arm and I will have his little ear print on my arm I told Nathan when he gets older I am going to get a little ear tattoo on my arm so I can always remember how we loved to hold each other for hours. We are on a very good night time routine of eating, taking a bath, setting on the couch to cuddle and falling asleep in our arms while we watch tv. I then can put him in his moses basket in our room to sleep until about 3am when he is ready to eat again. A quick eat and he is good to go for several more hours. Waylon still loves his bath. Nathan will get him undresses as I get the bath ready and Nathan will bring him flying in singing the tune to superman and saying "super naked baby" Waylon looks so cute with his arms and legs straight out and cute little butt in the air. We both give him a bath trying to wash under all those rolls and remember the words to several different bath time songs. Nathan wraps him up in this towel getting him all dried off while I put on his lotion, I love rubbing lotion all over his little bum. Nathan puts his night gown on him, he is the best at it, we then brush his hair and love all over him. A clean lotioned up baby is the sweetest smell. We then settle on the couch for the rest of the night rocking him to sleep and admiring how beautiful and big his is getting. This is my favorite part of the day!

Waylon is so strong, he is starting to roll from side to side, not rolling over yet but I am sure it will be in no time. He loves to kick, Nathan has taught him well. He will kick his toys on his mat or your stomach while you are holding him, great ab work out. He is now starting to grab for things, he is reaching out to grab his toys and even our hands. Still loves to put those hands in this mouth and can almost get his whole fist in there. He is drooling like crazy and I am having to start to put a bib on him so he will not ruin his clothes before we go out. He has always held his head up well but now he has great head control sitting anywhere. He is still eating very well. He is still taking the bottle very well once a day while I am at work or just a time for Nathan to feed him. He is so cuddly, like I said before he loves to be held but it seems like now he is starting to hold you. I love this feeling. He loves being outside, his car seat, and his play mat. He still loves sleeping on his stomach and prefers it. He is so chill. He rarely makes a fuss unless he is hungry or tired. He does not mind staying in a dirty diaper and I have to remind myself to change him all day. Waylon still has the most beautiful eyes. They are still a dark gray/navy color and he has the longest eyelashes. He is still in most of his 0-3 month clothes but is making his way into the 3-6 month. He is still in a size 1 diaper. He takes a long nap in the morning and then kitty cat naps during the day, as Dad calls them. He loves going on walks/jogs with me in the evening and now that Dad will be home early we will all get to go together.

Waylon is our best friend and the joy of our life. We are so blessed and thankful to have him and can not image life with out this little cowboy. God is Good!
