Last weekend Nathan and I got a much needed date night. We have only been away from Waylon one other time in 9 months, that was for our anniversary in June. I sent Nathan a text on Monday after the long weekend and said me+you= date night Friday night. We looked all week for the perfect place to go and boy did we find it. We really had to twist my Mom's arm to come and watch Waylon for the evening,,haha,, and she loved it, Thanks Mom! We went to the King William area of San Antonio. It was first Friday, they have an art show every first Friday of the month. There were so many different types of people walking around and hanging out all in the area. We sat outside of this restaurant called Cassbers that was an old catholic Church converted into a restaurant/bar. The weather was great and we look our time just talking and eating... After dinner we were looking for a place to hear a good band and low and behold the waitress told us the bar upstairs had a band playing for free that normally charged... We went to check them out and it was Amazing.... We walked into the sanctuary of what had been the church, still equipped with pews, stain glass windows and the pulpit. There were two guys playing acoustic garters singing to their own music. It was a little country/rock in roll, our favorite. We sat on the back row and just hung out. We cuddled and kissed and acted like we were 25 again and we were the only ones around. I fell even more in love with Nathan (as if that were possible). It was a great night and a great place to go and check out if you are in the area. Thanks my love, let's do it again soon!
The pictures of from my iphone but gives you an idea of the band and the church...
